Turbocharged Engine
The turbocharged and intercooled 2.0-liter VTEC engine kicks out an exhilarating 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Wrapped in an iconic red cover, it’s 70 years of Honda engineering for the track distilled into one Civic: the Type R.
Lightweight Chassis
A lightweight, reinforced chassis and all-aluminum hood increase rigidity and reduce weight to make the car swifter and nimbler while chasing down the competition.
Suspension
The unique dual-axis MacPherson strut front suspension helps deliver precise response and minimize torque steer when accelerating through turns. An adaptive damper system actively controls the action for everything from smooth cruising to track handling.
Limited-Slip Differential
A limited-slip differential can offer tighter cornering and better control on every drive, giving you more confidence—and more fun—behind the wheel.
Triple Outlet Exhaust
The specially tuned center-mounted, triple outlet exhaust bellows a throaty growl that broadcasts your departure.
Brembo Brakes
